| Information about Burgundy and its Regions |
The land of Burgundy rolls eastward from the Loire and stretches south to the vineyards of Beaujolais. Large as Belgium with some three hours travelling south to north, and two and half hours west to east. Located at the centre of western Europe, from here it is easy to travel to Germany, Italy, north of Spain, the low countries and the english channel, all at less than 6 hours.
Burgundy is renowned for its superb wines, fabulous restaurants and beautiful architectural heritage. Culture and activities all year round for the locals working and living in a healthy economy. The region has an excellent climate, with long hot summers, accompanied with cold but very dry and short winters. Only third in terms of price ranking, after the more agricultural areas of Auvergne and Limousin. Especially those areas at more than 20 minutes from the famous wines, you can find great price scoops, without missing the amenities of the area.
