The quiet and rustic village of Beurizot is situated less than 10 minutes drive north of the market town of Pouilly en Auxois and of Vitteaux and offers good access to the A6 autoroute to Paris, the south of France, the ski resorts of the Alps and most parts of Europe. The regions capital, Dijon, is easily reached by autoroute in less than 30 minutes and here you can shop, experiment with local food at the food market - Les Halles - and admire the culter and architecture of some of France's finest Chateaux and historical buildings. The Burgundy Canal passes through the village and you can walk or cycle along the tow path to the bakers in the next village. A created cycle path is in place to take you as far as Dijon.
Local attractions include; Dijon with its Museums, town houses, garden and parks. Try Dijon market; Les halles for a culinery delights. The local canalside town of Pouilly en Auxois with general commerce and restaurants and Semur en Auxois; medieval town with historical buildings and good general commerce. The world famous vineyards of Chablis, Beaune and Nuits st George are easily accessible.
The house comprises of entrance to a kitchen with fitted modern units, worktops, fridge/freezer, microwave combi oven, cooker and extractor fan. Shower room with wash basin, toilet, fitted hairdryer and washing machine. The living and sitting area has comfortable sofa's and a TV with UK stations available. The first floor has 2 independent bedrooms, accessed by separate staircases, one with a double and the other with 2 single beds.
The pleasant wall and hedged garden offers areas for relaxing, outdoor cooking and eating and has several fruit trees. From the garden you have a view of the village church. |
