Thank you for the time you spent showing us properties
Dear Laurent,
A very belated but sincere thank you for the time you spent showing up properties and acquainting us with the market in the Vezelay area. Richard and I found it very helpful and saw several things that prompted serious follow-up conversations, especially the barn and the property in St. Pere. We enjoyed exploring the area and did go back to look again at St. Pere and the outside of the property. At this point we are not in a position to act on anything, but please keep sending the weekly alerts. We'll be back in touch when we're able to plan another visit to Burgundy.

Hi there, Benjamin,
Well, as you promised when we first met at the property exhibition at Taunton racecourse, Burgundy4U have found us a home, looked after us, helped us all the way and we're in ! Very simple, very easy and enbelievably efficient. You'll recall that we were impressed by you and Ingrid at the show, we liked your approach and all looked good. When we returned home we were most impressed with your website, again something which augured well. Very, very quickly you sent us property details which exactly matched the broad outline of what we were looking for, so no time wasting sifting through unsuitable options. All that was early November 2007.
We arranged to view properties over several days via three of your offices, Sally at Vezelay arranged somewhere for us to stay and an itinerary put together. It all worked perfectly even to having rubbish weather - an ideal way to see property we think since you're seeing them at their worst and in the worst of the weather, so no rose tinted glasses there. In fact, although we've been married for more than 20 years, it's the first time we've ever house hunted together! Fortunately we agree on almost everything.
Carolyn and I did travel down to the Limousin to look at other possible homes there....but at the end of a very full week it was definitely Burgundy and one property was chosen
I rang Laurent at the Vezelay office tea time Saturday and put in an offer, the deal was agreed as we sat on the Calais ferry dock on Sunday afternoon and from then on we were in the incredibly capable hands of Sally and Laurent. A massive thank you to them is in order.
The whole process was explained and questions instantly handled
Paperwork was dealt with quickly and efficiently
Regular contact was maintained throughout
A suitable date planned for the signing and hotel booked
Good weather arranged for signing day
Excellent suggestions of where to buy what given and followed through
Sally and Laurent even managed to organise a plumber for a burst pipe within 5 minutes of a call for help ! And the plumber suggested some very good restaurants. So on the 12th June we had our new home in Burgundy and we are absolutley delighted. The previous owners had left things in very good order so we managed to combine moving in, buying new things for the house and having a holiday really well. A fantastic 10 days of hard work, spending money, starting to discover the area, meeting the neighbours, meeting the deputy mayor, checking out bars and restaurants, enjoying the wildlife and scenery of the region and drinking more than the occasional glass of wine.
Thank you to all at Burgundy4U for such brilliance in everything. Look forward to seeing you near Epoisses in August and having a good chat over good company, food and wine and every success in the future.

Our Visit End of March
We wanted to thank you and your colleagues for making our trip both worthwhile and enjoyable. The organisation was impeccable and the welcome warm. We are convinced Burgundy is the place for us.
I'm sure you will have fed back our comments and thoughts on each of the houses we saw. They all had something very positive going for them but it was the fermette near Autun, perhaps surprisingly, which scored most points. If Laurent or Carolyn (or you) would like any further detailed comments we would be happy to oblige.
Meanwhile, I will e-mail Ingrid some thoughts and look forward to speaking with her further.

Buying Property
Dear Laurent & Sally,
Very best wishes to you and a very Happy New Year to you and indeed all at b4u. We met Benjamin at the Taunton, Somerset exhibition in November last year and instantly warmed to him and the company. He listened to us carefully noted the the type of property we were looking for (or thinking about) and since then all the properties suggested to us on the e-mails have fallen exactly into that category. Many thanks for that. In fact your website is most impressive - through my work we do a lot of design and publishing and do appreciate good design !

House Purchase

VERY IMPPRESSED!
Dear Mr Haas,
We felt bound to write to express our gratitude. We first contacted Laurent and Sally Six at B4U in Vezelay to arrange viewings of a couple of properties we thought we might like. Laurent was extremely helpful - and also suggested we see a third (much cheaper!) property, which we viewed in June and promptly bought . Since then, he has liaised between us and the Notaire, former owner and local builders. He even advised us on a mortgage. Nothing seems too much trouble. As the owner of her own Estate Agency, my wife Karen was impressed with the attention to detail, clear and frequent communication and general great service. What appeared to be a really complex process has been extremely simple - and most importantly, stress-free (for us, at least !) We're looking forward to completing our renovations and enjoying an early retirement in our beautiful Burgundian house. Thanks so much!

I just felt I would like to write and thank you for the services of your colleagues, Paul and Julie Warren, who frankly have been absolutely excellent in the manner in which they have dealt with the sale to us of The Presbytery at Chameroy. These people are an absolute credit to your organisation and their tenacity, dedication and interest in the job in hand is a credit to you. If you have got people like this you are going to build a very good and successful business.
I wouldn’t have any hesitation in employing people of the calibre of Paul and Julie Warren. Indeed, if I were you, I would be looking out for people of this sort of calibre to take on as partners in the business. The transaction we have dealt with has been particularly tricky in a number of ways, starting out with the fact that the building was being advertised at a very different price (totally unbeknown to you) with a different agent. Thereafter, we have had problems with the logistics of arranging the transaction and a notaire, who it is felt hasn’t been totally helpful. Everything became particularly last minute last week, but, in any event, with the excellent help of your colleagues, Paul and Julie Warren, the matter went through. We would recommend you to friends – and, in particular, Paul and Julie Warren. I do hope that we will have dealings with you again in the future. It may be that we may be interested in another property in due course.

We have now returned to England after our month spent in France and would like to say a big thank-you for the help you gave to us both before and after the purchase. It made a big difference. We love the house at Anost, and Anost itself. The neighbours have been welcoming and the village certainly has a lot to offer. In September we shall return to the house ready to start the painting! Dear Paul and Julie,
I just wanted to say on behalf of Nancy and I how much we appreciated all
your help in securing the purchase of our house in Cirfontaines-en-Azois.
When I said, Paul,"If only all things were as reliable as you" you don't
know how true that is. Your guidance and Julie's oversight of our case made
the whole process painless and not the horror story that you read about in
expat journals.
Sadly, the same cannot be said for our solicitor who now claims he didn't
know anything about the signing and yet further down the thread in his email
he will see my notification of the event and his response. Now he wants his
money or else. You don't do the law as well do you!
Anyway, we'll be back down next week with my son for a vacation and I will
make sure I drop round a little something to say thanks.

I really do regret not having an opportunity to speak with you before leaving Pouilly and Mont Saint Jean. I want to thank you for being a terrific support over these past few months, you've made the experience painless and even great fun.
