Benjamin Haas at Meursault (General Manager B4U)
I came to Burgundy in 2000 and founded Burgundy4u after a sabbatical year sailing round the Atlantic in our yacht. Both projects where the fulfilment of dreams: captain my own boat across the ocean and start my own business. Working experience was with several multinationals, latest with Procter and Gamble Rotterdam in Marketing and Human Resources. In Burgundy I enjoy the people, their friendliness and open mindedness. Of course the thing I miss most is the Sea, which I try to compensate for by visiting regularly our “pied a terre" in the Hague.

Didier Marbac at Autun (Responsable Real Estate Agent B4U)
I was Born in the city of Autun and I have finished my BA studies at Dijon, so you could say that I'm quite familiar with the whole of Burgundy and the Autun region in particular. For a passionate golfplayer like myself, this lovely region offers a great deal of quality fields. I have the pleasure to share this passion with my son Alexis, 9 years and already managing very well on the greens. My knowledge of the region is serving me well on professionnal basis: working since 16 years in real estate, my experience has been proven usefull to the customers looking for houses in this area. In 2002 I met B4U and its members and I've learned to deal with the internet, completely aware of its forces. So since 2004 Bibracte Immobilier and B4U are a partnership, making me part of the management. Evolving with collègues of different nationalities has enlarged my knowledge of international relationships. The very many contacts with my european clients has made it also possible to discover new cultures.

Ingrid Lapia at Autun (Autunois & Cental Morvan)
I was born in Autun and I only left this place for my studies International Trade in Dijon. My passion for the english language has been revealed thanks to the trips to the United Kingdom and to a trainee business period in London. And my dad (a real estate agent) has made it possible for me to taste the estate market since 2000, which allowed me to discover my region and to approve it fully practising my english quite a lot. I simply love to let my clients discover Burgundy and to help them with the several steps in the buying process. Last of all, I adore cooking and to share this with my friends.

Paul & Julie Warren at Boudreville (Châtillonnais)
Having spent many of our summer holidays in Burgundy, we were able to achieve our ambition in 2003 of settling permanently in the region with our 3 children, Matthew, Jaeda and Jack, having discovered a beautiful unspoilt and little known part of Northern Burgundy. We quickly settled into French life with our newly found friends and neighbours welcoming us into their community. As parents, our biggest issue we have faced is our 5 year old daughter correcting our French pronunciation and grammar! We spent our first months here renovating a derelict 16th century cottage which we now successfully rent throughout the year. We are often asked what we enjoy about our new life – well the list is endless from the food and wine, living with nature not against it, the opportunity to live in the countryside in a property unaffordable in the UK, but top of the list has to be the French attitude towards life. We have a real passion for Burgundy which we love to share and we enjoy helping others realise their dreams – just like we have.

Carolyn Carrington at Meursault (Central Burgundy)
I have been living in Burgundy since 1992. I came here with my sons who were then aged 7 and 12 to find a way of life that some describe as being like England was 50 years ago – unspoilt countryside, a slower pace of life and a sense of community. My background was in tourism, as a tour co-ordinator and travel writer promoting Britain. Now, as a satisfied resident, I’m happy to promote Burgundy! Most of my spare time is still spent renovating my old wine-maker’s house, but I hope to be able to travel when it is completed.

Maïté Cleaver at Meursault (Commercial Assistant B4U)
I was born in Dijon and grew up in the countryside nearby. I used to work on hotel-barges as a hotel manager and visited most of France that way. But my heart belongs to Burgundy. I love all its heritage, from the food and wines to the History. I am very happy that I can use my language skills as well as my knowledge of the region to help you in your research of a property by working for Burgundy 4U.

Judith Un at Meursault (Commercial Assistant B4U)
Ever since I left the Netherlands in 2000 and came to Burgundy, really good things are happening to me, especially in personnal life. And after finishing my studies E-Comm in Chalon sur Saône, Burgundy4U has found me quickly afterwards and since 2005 I have been working "behind the screens" to optimize the website. Now, 3 years later, I'm in direct contact with the clients, very happy to inform you about Burgundy and what this lovely region can bring to you. Please feel free to contact me for any question or remark about our services, because this is how we can improve ourselves!

Linda & Arno Bakker at Narcy (West Burgundy)
After a holiday in Burgundy we fell in love with this region, and shortly after we found our Second home. In 2002 we started renovating and although our intention was to have a holiday home, we couldn't let the Burgundian way out of our system, so in 2004 we came here permenantly. Together with our daughter Isabella we have a wonderful living environment and we enjoy every day the peace, the space and the lovely people around. Arno has been working for ages in the building business and Linda was working advertising and PR the last 10 years in Holland. This background and the real estate studies of Arno (NVM Netherlands), are a good basis to be part of the Burgundy4U team. We will do our very best to let you feel at home in "our" Burgundy!

Robert and Jennifer Thom at Pouilly-en-Auxois (Auxois, Dijon, Ouche Valley)
After coming to Burgundy on a business trip during 2000, we soon purchased a house in the Cote D’ Or region close to the market town of Pouilly en Auxois. After a couple of years travelling back and forward to our Burgundy, we set our ambition to live and work in Burgundy. We found this opportunity with Burgundy4U. Robert worked for 20 years within the transport logistics sector as a Transport Manager and then a Project Manager looking after key accounts. After raising a family, Jennifer then, also worked in the logistics business as a transport supervisor distributing food products. Before moving to Burgundy, we set up and operated for 5 years a property maintenance and rental company in the Peak District of Derbyshire. Now firmly routed in Burgundy we enjoy and participate in the pleasures of the region, the cultural and culinary delights and like to make use of the excellent travel links and travel throughout Europe.

Laurent and Sally Six at Vézelay (North Morvan, Puisaye)
After initially looking to buy a 2nd home in a France we decided after many holidays and viewing trips to bite the bullet and make the move permanently. We moved to Burgundy in February 2005 with our children Jacques 9 and Lily 8 after meeting Benjamin at an exhibition in Olympia and being offered the opportunity to open the North Morvan office for Burgundy4u. Sally has worked for the last 5 years in estate agency in Lincolnshire as a residential valuer. Laurent is French but had spent the last 15 years in the UK, working for a French patisserie company as national accounts manager. Having fallen in love with the unspoilt and welcoming environment of the North Morvan we felt it would be perfect for our young family. With our combined experiences and language skills we are able to assist with all aspects of the buying and moving process.
